The doc uses data from California’s Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) verified equipment list, including energy storage capacity, system rated capacity for AC output, and system duration at max AC output. These comparisons tell us how much energy will be accessible to the homeowner when using a battery-inverter system for home energy storage — and of that energy, how quickly can it be discharged for use.
At the moment, the doc features Generac, Enphase, SMA, LG Energy Solution, and BYD storage products currently available on the BayWa r.e. Solar Systems webstore, but new versions of the doc will be regularly released to include new products joining our line card and the solar storage market.
Watch this excerpt to learn more about the Storage Comparison Doc, and hear A&K explain its creation. We hope this provides contractors everywhere some good fodder for conversations on leads, prospects, designs, and customer engagement! And stay tuned for the release of the full episode!
