Boaz Soifer

Boaz Soifer

Chief Executive Officer

Boaz joined BayWa r.e. in 2010 after years as a designer, installer, distributor, manufacturer, inventor, and manager in a wide variety of renewable energy endeavors. After working at PV distributor and pump manufacturer Dankoff Solar, Boaz founded and managed Cedar Mountain Solar, a nationally regarded solar heating installation company, and SolarLogic, a creator of heating system design and control products. Boaz also managed design and engineering of a biomass-fired district energy system for the City of Santa Fe. Boaz served on the board of the Santa Fe Independent Business Alliance and as Vice President of the NM Renewable Energy Industries Association, and on various state and city renewable energy task forces. Boaz studied music theory at Bard College at Simon’s Rock, is a lifelong student of psychology and philosophy, and enjoys off-grid living, dog-training, and tai chi. Boaz also writes and podcasts for Solar r.e.view, BayWa r.e. Solar Systems' online magazine for solar contractors.

Jodi White

Chief Financial Officer

Jodi began working in the solar industry as Finance Manager for Dankoff Solar in 2003 after obtaining her Masters in accounting from University of New Mexico. She was pleasantly surprised to find herself working in an industry with many people who shared her passion for environmental and energy concerns. Jodi was part of the start-up group at Focused Energy in March of 2008 and saw it through acquisition by BayWa r.e. in 2010. She is proud to be part of a fantastic team that is truly dedicated to serving customers. Jodi also has an undergraduate degree in Geology from The Colorado College, where she developed a passion for hiking, backpacking, and beautiful rocks. She now enjoys spending time with her family playing soccer, hiking, baking, and gardening, and rides her bike to work every day.

Daniel Marino

Chief Commercial Officer

Daniel Marino joined BayWa r.e in 2016. Previously, Daniel held executive positions at several leading solar manufacturing and distribution companies. At Yingli Green Energy Americas, Daniel led development and execution of the commercial strategy for the US. As a co-founder of DC Power Systems, he directed all aspects of strategy, sales, marketing, business development, engineering and supply chain activities, helping transform the company into the largest solar distributor in the Americas. He also saw the company through acquisition by a multinational in 2009 and subsequent rebranding as Soligent. Prior to his career in solar, Daniel worked as a strategy consultant with clients ranging from technology start-ups to Fortune Global 500 firms. He graduated with an MA in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in 2000.

David Dunlap

David Dunlap

Vice President of Operations

David joined BayWa r.e. in 2016, after 16 years in residential construction management, including green building technologies and renewable energy systems. His early solar PV design training came through Solar Energy International in CO in 2004, and he never stopped advocating for renewables and water conservation throughout his building career. He also worked for Honeywell Building Solutions developing energy retrofit project solutions in the public sector using Performance Contracting as the primary financial vehicle. David graduated with a degree in Anthropology from Pomona College. He enjoys hiking with his wife and dogs in the New Mexico mountains and also making ceramics in his home studio.

Christine Owens

Christine Owens

Vice President of Marketing

Christine Owens has been providing strategy insights and communications expertise to CXO-level executives for more than 25 years. She also serves as President of Amplify Communications, a consulting firm she founded in 2003. Christine previously held positions as the Senior Director for Marketing and Sales Enablement at Enphase Energy, and the Vice President of Marketing at Mersive Technologies. Earlier in her career, Christine headed Corporate Communications for a multi-billion-dollar data storage company, and spent 10 years working as a lobbyist in Washington, D.C. She received both her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from The George Washington University. For the past 18 years, Christine has made Boulder, CO her home base. She has two grown children and a house full of fur kids.
