“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
― Martin Luther King, Jr.

BayWa r.e. Solar Systems LLC stands with people around the world in mourning George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Amaud Arbery, and the deaths of so many Black Americans. We join in the demand for systemic change to eliminate violent policing practices and pervasive racism in the United States. We choose not to stay silent, and to use our privilege to declare that we stand in solidarity with our Black community. We join in common voice to say:

Black lives matter.

One of our company core values is the health of individuals, our community, and our world. In line with that belief, we take a strong stance against the institutional prejudice and hate that has continued to pollute global-scale unity. We cherish and embrace the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

We do so as a company because we understand the importance of creating oneness while supporting uniqueness. Where everyone is accepted, and you know it in your core. We understand that diversity is a strength. Equity nurtures opportunities. Inclusion is neighborly kindness.

We know that to live up to this code, our company must commit to growth and improvement with regards to our culture, policies, and behavior with our colleagues, customers, and community. To push ourselves to be our best, BayWa r.e. Solar Systems reaffirms its longstanding efforts and continued steps towards:

  • Developing a common inclusive language, tools to have difficult conversations with, and structures that people can depend on.
  • Providing necessary training and education for employees.
  • Researching and identifying best practices and bring them to the company.
  • Establishing collective buy-in of our core values.
  • Ensuring employee satisfaction and retention through empathy and wellness.
  • Attracting a talented and diverse applicant pool for hiring.

We at BayWa r.e. Solar Systems value the diversity in our company and in our world, and we will chase the sun into a better tomorrow, united against hate.
