One of the newest additions to the Unirac product offering is its GridFlex™ flat roof system, announced just before the new year.

“We’ve heard clearly what large commercial projects need in terms of flat roof installations,” says Jonah Coles, Product Solutions Manager. “GridFlex™ is above all built for speed, with preassembled components and low part counts, and of course it’s light thanks to the grid while remaining flexible as a result of the design approach. But it’s also more secure than other grid-based systems, with clamps that contact both sides of the module frame, which takes away a point of concern. This system is ready for the most demanding scenarios.”

Coles notes that GridFlex™ also helps cut down on attachment count when needed, thanks to a structural design that optimizes load sharing through an array.

GridFlex™ joins Unirac’s ever-growing portfolio of proven flat roof systems, including its industry veteran Roofmount, with time-tested 10-degree, 5-degree, and dual-tilt options, and its EcoFoot 2+ (10 degree) and 5D (5 degree), which offer further row spacing and materials possibilities. Unirac recently also announced its Flashloc RM™ roof attachment, a no-flashing-needed solution with tremendous strength and affordability.

And because commercial doesn’t always mean flat roofs, Unirac has continued to innovate on metal roofs with MetalX, which has a unique direct connect system that creates a feather-light, easy-to-install, and ultra- cost-effective system for large sites with metal roofs, such as agricultural buildings and warehouses. Beyond the roof, Unirac has expanded applications in the ground mount space as well, releasing a line of ground screws for difficult sites.
